This sauce can be used to top pasta or your favorate pizza dough.
4 cups basil leaves
sea salt
2 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons lightly toasted pine nuts
4 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
3/4 cup good extra virgin olive oil.
Combine basil, 1/2 tsp sea salt , garlic and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a food processor. Pulse until blended. Toss in pine nuts , pulse until pine nuts are finely chopped. With machine running slowly pour in the remaining olive oil through the feed tube and process until finely pureed. Add in parmesan and pulse until blended.
